Taking the Temperature – How Hospitality Is Really Feeling Right Now
Few industries have felt the impact of recent years more than hospitality. Many HR professionals continue to support others whilst operating in a constant state of pressure, stress, and survival mode.
This special HR in Hospitality Learning Club event brings together expert insight, practical wellbeing strategies, and the latest industry research to explore how hospitality professionals are really feeling right now — and what HR leaders can do to better support both themselves and their teams.
Join Amanda Nutt, workplace wellbeing expert, Certified Health & Performance Coach, and COO & Director of Coaching at Elevo, for an interactive and practical session focused on sustaining your own health and wellbeing whilst supporting others in a demanding industry.
Building on last year’s conversation around “putting your oxygen mask on first,” Amanda will explore how ongoing stress impacts the nervous system, energy, boundaries, decision-making, and overall wellbeing — alongside practical tools and techniques to help reduce overwhelm and build healthier ways of working.
We’re also delighted to welcome Camilla Woods, Services Director at Hospitality Action, who will share the latest insights from Hospitality Action’s respected “Taking the Temperature” survey.
Drawing on real experiences from across the industry, Camilla will explore the pressures, challenges, and emotional realities currently facing hospitality workers, whilst highlighting the critical role HR and people leaders play in shaping healthier and more supportive workplaces. The session will also demonstrate how the survey helps Hospitality Action better understand industry needs, shape future support services, and drive meaningful change across the sector.
