Now in our 30th year, The Annual Awards for Excellence in HR continue to be the highlight of our social events calendar. For three decades, these Awards have provided an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the outstanding teams and individuals who are shaping people practice across the hospitality sector.
Held each September, the Awards shine a spotlight on those who demonstrate exceptional commitment to their workforce, workplace and the vital work their people do every day. Over the past year, you have continued to innovate, adapt and lead with resilience, ensuring your organisations remain supportive, inclusive and forward thinking. Once again, we are inviting you to showcase the projects, initiatives and strategies that have helped your teams thrive and overcome industry challenges. This is your moment to recognise extraordinary people practices and celebrate the impact of creative, courageous HR leadership.
It is time to be proud. It is time to share your successes. It is time to celebrate 30 years of People Excellence.
We cannot wait to come together for a truly special anniversary evening, enjoying drinks, a delicious three course dinner and, of course, announcing our 2026 award winners before dancing the night away. Full details for our 30th Anniversary celebration will be announced soon, but you can expect an unforgettable setting at The Chancery Rosewood befitting this milestone year.

Book your tickets early to avoid disappointment! As always, we will be raising funds for our partner charities; Hospitality Action and Walk for Wellbeing.
Full details will be released later in the year, however Tickets for our Awards always sell out fast, and we expect that this year will be no different. We feel our ticket pricing remains one of the best value awards evenings in the industry and we hope to see as many of you and your teams join us this September so please, Save the Date!
Dress Code: Black Tie
GDPR: Please note that photographs and footage will be taken during this event. These will be used by HR in Hospitality and our partners for marketing and publicity in our publications, on our website and in social media or in any third party publication. Rules
Any organisation in the hospitality sector may enter; the awards are open to (but not limited to) hotels, restaurants, high street retail café operators and contract caterers who are currently members of HR in hospitality or looking to join. These awards are Free to enter. We would welcome entries from the hospitality sector that are not currently members of HR in hospitality.
Entries must not exceed 1500 words and should fully answer the 4 key questions within each award category. If you experience any difficulty uploading your entry then please email your entry direct in either PDF or word format to Esther O’Halloran, Chair of HR in hospitality at esther@eohbusinesssolutions.com
We would actively encourage you to include supporting material as evidence to help bring your entry to life; this does not contribute to the 1200-word limit of the entry document. No more than 5 supporting appendices please.
Supporting material may include, but is not limited to:
- Photographs
- Testimonials
- Graphs/data
- PDF’s of any printed material (adverts, brochures, news articles etc)
- Links to videos.

Here are some tips on entering the awards:
- Start Early! Give yourself time to write your entry. Consider using previous award entries that you have written.
- Answer the question! Explain to the judges what you did, what was the impact and benefit to the business and fully answer each question
- Keep it Simple! Give specific examples, stick to the facts, less fluff and no jargon!
- Tell your story! Be passionate, engage your reader (judge) provide context!
- Provide evidence! Use statistics, data and testimonials to prove your point.
- Proof read! We strongly encourage you to proof read and spell check before uploading.
- Stick to the word count! Please! Consider using bullet points to make things clear.
